The NDSM shipyard is one of the largest creative breeding places in Amsterdam. But it is also an event area and an area with its own unique identity through the monumental yard with its industrial character.
Atelier LEK designed a Masterplan to be part of the transition of this unique industrial area. The design was established together with the Municipality of Amsterdam and with input from the NDSM Foundation, the design team and users . The result is a well illustrated plan, which offers both a framework and tools to give lighting an integral role in the future developments of the Public Space at the NDSM shipyard in Amsterdam.
