Circulaire lichtmast NDSM werf Amsterdam

For the NDSM warf we designed the first recycled light pole in Amsterdam. We used H-beams, industrial elements that are part of the DNA of the landscape and in the architecture. The poles have a material-passport to know the history and kwality of each element. All components are visible, to create the pure technical look without excessive design features.

During this pilot we encountered a lot of obstacles withing the current way of production and certification to use recycled materials in a project. But becaus eof the determide focus of the municipality of Amsterdam to become circular in all levels of the build environment we were able to realize this unorthodox lighting design.

Our gratutude to all stakeholders, projectteam at the NDSM and Durk Boersma Trading.
