Cepezed architects designed the first self-supporting busstation in the Netherlands. The busstation consits of a canopy for the waiting bus travellers with on top a series of PV cells providing the electricity for electical busses, lighting and heating for the benches. Together with the architect Atelier LEK designed a lightingplan in which the canopy is seen as one large luminaire. This luminaire shields the passengens during the day from direct sunlight, and provides the passengers at night with a plesant ambient atmosphere under the canopy.
The lighting reacts on the people who pass by during the evening and night; the light tunes up in segments to provide a comfortable lightlevel where needed, and to save energy end reduce impact where no light is needed.
This reactive lighting installation shows the current possibilities that accomodate the energy transition to better made to measure sollutions.
Een uniek lichtontwerp, waarbij de hele luifel als armatuur is benaderd. Overdag filtert de luifel het zonlicht, in de avond creëert ze een comfortabele, ruimtelijke ervaring voor de reiziger zonder inkijk in of verblinding van armaturen vanuit welke kijkrichting dan ook. Dit is Een resultaat van een nauwe samenwerking tussen de architect Cepezed en de lichtonwerpers van Atelier LEK waarbij zorgvuldige keuzes zijn gemaakt voor positie, bevestiging en type licht De interactieve lichtniveaus worden momenteel ingeregeld, zodat er altijd voldoende licht is maar ook niet teveel wanneer er geen mensen of bussen zijn.
